ABSTRACT

After binding to the specific insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF1R) on the surface of target tissue cells, IGF can regulate physiological processes such as apoptosis, proliferation and senescence, which are closely related to growth and development of the body, and occurrence and development of diseases. The binding between IGF1 and IGF1Rα can cause conformational changes of the beta subunit of IGF1R, lead to activation of receptor tyrosine kinase, initiation of the downstream phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase pathway and mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway, and finally participate in the occurrence of acne, psoriasis and other skin diseases. This review summarizes research advances in the role of the IGF1R signaling pathway in the pathogenesis of related skin diseases.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effect of thrombospondin 1(TSP-1) on the cell proliferation of cultured rat pulmonary artery smooth cell (PASMCs) in vitro .Methods Rat PASMCs were cultured in vitro ,and treated with different concentrations (10-12 、10-11 、10-10 mol/L) of TSP-1 for 12 ,24 ,48 h .The cell proliferation was quantified by MTT assay .The cell cycle of PASMCs was measured by flow cytometric(FCM) analysis .Results MTT assay showed that TSP-1 promoted the proliferation of PASMCs significantly ,and the effect was concentration-dependent and time-dependent .FCM analysis indicated that TSP-1 increased the percentage of S phase .The percentage of S phase of PASMCs were increased after treated with thrombospondin-1 for 12 h , slight down after 24 h ,while reached a maximal level at 48 h .Conclusion The TSP-1 promotes rat PASMCs proliferation in a con-centration-dependent and time-dependent manner .

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the clinical feature and prevalence of chronic actinic dermatitis in a four-generation family with both monovular twins affected by chronic actinic dermatitis. Methods The clinical and laboratory findings from monovular twins simultaneously affected by chronic actinic dermatitis and their four-family members were analyzed. Results There were 76 members in the four-generation family, with 22 members (including 14 males and 8 females) diagnosed with chronic actinic dermatitis. No positive results were found from laboratory examinations or environmental survey. Conclusion Chronic actinic dermatitis was inherited in an autosomal mode in this family.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the expression of chemokine receptors CXCR1and CXCR2in progressive plaque psoriasis and their clinical significance. Methods Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)technique was applied to semi-quantatatively analyze CXCR1and CXCR2mRNA expression in peripheral blood polymorphonuclears(PMNs)from30cases of psoriatic patients,14of the30patients which were treated until the70%of skin lesions resolved,and30healthy controls. The correlation between CXCR1/2and psoriatic area and severity index(PASI)was evaluated. Results CXCR1and CX-CR2mRNA levels in PMNs from psoriatic patients were1.30?1.18和1.62?0.97,respectively,which were markedly higher than those in normal controls(0.56?0.36,0.74?0.58,respectively)and treated patients(0.49?0.34,0.51?0.51,respectively.)(P
